I have 20 years’ traffic management experience in Australia and overseas includes on-site construction traffic management on large and complex road and rail projects, such as the $620M Darlington Upgrade Project in Adelaide, $1.2B Gold Coast Light Rail – Stage 1, Brisbane’s $4.8B Airport Link and $2.8B EastLink in Melbourne.
I also worked on various tenders for major transport projects included: North East Link, Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 3, Monash Freeway Stage 2, M80 Upgrade (P2W), CBD and Sydney Light Rail, WestConnex Stage 2 M5-King (M5- King Georges Road Interchange Upgrade), South Rd (T2T) and Darlington Upgrade Project

With a focus on delivering cost-effective traffic management solutions, I have significant experience in all aspects of multiple traffic staging, including high volume urban roads and freeway environments.
I have in-depth knowledge of construction traffic management planning and on-site traffic management operations, road safety audits, traffic control devices, temporary traffic signals, ITS design and traffic analysis. I have developed complex Traffic Management Strategies and implemented complex traffic management plans including detailed traffic staging to facilitate construction in busy live traffic environments.
I proactively engaged with stakeholders and have led Traffic Management Liaison Groups to gain stakeholder input for traffic management planning for high impact projects. I used excellent prioritising and communication skills to ensure projects progress safely and with minimal disruption to road users.

The responsibilities include:

• I worked as key member (CMT) of Gateway South team for EOI/RFT and delivery phase of the Darlington Upgrade project in SA.
• Overall traffic management planning, design, road safety audits, obtain approval and implementation of traffic management plans during construction including managing forecast and budget.
• I chaired Traffic Management Liaison Group (TMLG) where other members were SAPOL, DPTI, City of Mitcham, City of Marion, Ambulance, Public Transport and emergency services.
• I chaired Site Access & Traffic Management Coordination Group (SATMCG), where other members were various services providers and other contractors SAPN, York Civil, APA, Telstra working in the project corridor and DPTI. The aim of this meeting was to understand what other works happening within project corridor and ensure there are no conflict in various work areas and traffic management. This forum was successful, and I managed responsibility of the Permit Officer.
• Aimsun model developed for every traffic stage to understand travel time impact.
• Used TMA, VSLS first time in South Australia and trial yellow line marking on the project.
• Manage traffic management budget of $20 million for – traffic controllers, barriers, traffic signs, pavement marking and road safety audits.

• Traffic analysis including SIDRA to justify extended lane closures timing for Springvale Rd/Eastern Freeway section Mitcham Region

Traffic Planning Engineer (2005 - 2006)

The responsibilities include:

• Capacity analysis for various intersections and roads using SIDRA and SATURN
• Examination of various proposals submitted by Consultant (TIAs and Road Improvement Schemes)
• Reviewed and approved Building permits and consultation
• Developed various traffic improvement proposals for presentation and approval at Board meetings
• I was Member of review committee for updating of Road Specifications for Kingdom of Bahrain
• Assist Director in pre-qualification of Consultant for ITS for Bahrain and Integrated Transport Planning for Bahrain

The responsibilities include:

• Checking Feasibility studies and Detail Project Report (DPR) which includes Geometric Design, Pavement Design, Traffic analysis, Estimate and costing,
• Review of safety aspects in the Planning and Design of Highway, carried out Road Safety Audit
• Examination of contractor proposals received from Site Project Director/ Supervision Consultant prior submission at NHAI Management committee for approval
• Prequalification of Contractors and Consultants for highway projects.
